St Andrew’s Hospital offers a comprehensive pre-admission service for patients who are booked in for surgery.

We encourage all patients who are staying overnight to contact the Pre-Admission Clinic for a free appointment. The benefit of attending the Pre-Admission Clinic is to ensure a more relaxed, informed admission process.  

Our experienced nursing staff will assist you with:

• A comprehensive nursing assessment
• The completion of admission forms
• Pathology and x-ray services
• Nursing education relating to your procedure
• Discharge and aftercare arrangements

The session can be conducted over the phone or as a clinic consultation.  Phone appointments take approximately 15 minutes while the clinic consultation lasts around half an hour. Feel free to bring a friend or relative with you to your clinic appointment.

Country patients are particularly encouraged to contact the Pre-Admission Clinic to discuss any issues related to, or required for, their scheduled admission.
