St. Andrew's Breast Clinic represents an association between St.
Andrew's Hospital, Dr Jones and Partners (a respected medical imaging
Practice with special experience in breast imaging) and a group
of Adelaide's leading surgeons with special interest and experience
in breast diagnosis and treatment.
 Our objective
is to ensure that patients have their medical
needs attended to in the shortest possible time
and at the same location.
The comfortable waiting area within the
hospital is only for the use of the Clinic's
patients.
The Breast Clinic is located in a dedicated
area on the first floor of St. Andrew's Hospital.
Once in the clinic, women will not be part of any
general medical waiting or assessment areas.
Women will find a convenient reception and
comfortable waiting area, change facilities and
private assessment rooms.
The clinic facilities have been specifically
designed to ensure that all required diagnostic
procedures can be performed in the one convenient
location by specialist breast surgeons and
radiologists.
There is a comprehensive range of medical
imaging facilities including stereotactic
mammography, high resolution ultrasound, C.T.,
nuclear medicine and M.R.I.
Whilst some women may be apprehensive about
the procedures or the result, every member of the
medical team will endeavour to minimise any
discomfort and provide the results as soon as
possible.
Skilled, understanding counselling is
available. Every woman will have the results of
her assessment and the recommendations for any
treatment before she leaves the clinic.
In addition, a specialist breast nurse will be
in attendance to assist and provide further
counselling if required.
