St Andrew's Hospital was established in 1936 by Sister Janet Hay. Since its inception, the hospital's expert and skilled staff have provided a high level of care and earned the reputation as a leader in healthcare delivery.

The hospital has 202 overnight beds and 18 day beds, 7 operating theatres, an intensive care unit, an emergency department, a breast assessment and diagnosis clinic, a day chemotherapy unit and a range of other facilities and services.

St Andrew's Hospital is a private hospital and is a 'not for profit' organisation. This means that any surplus funds are reinvested in the hospital for the benefit of the hospital, patients and community at large.

It is important to the Board and Management of the hospital that St Andrew's continues to be a leader in medical education and training and the highest standards of medical and surgical care.

To do this we need an additional source of income.

Your generosity can help us achieve our vision and goals of excellent patient care.

We seek your help. If you are unable to help at this time, you may be able to do so in the future. However, please feel free to pass this information onto someone who may be able to support the hospital.

You may wish to specify what area of our work benefits from your gift (eg our breast care clinic, intensive care unit, emergency department etc). Please indicate this in the space provided.

If you would like any further information about making a donation or bequest, please contact our Foundation Director, Gabrielle Cespi on  (08) 8408 2005.

If you wish to make a donation, please print the donations form and post to us. All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and receipts will be issued if requested.

If you want to specify how you would like to see your bequest used, then you would need to specify this.

A bequest in your will can take many forms and the wording can change depending on whether you want to make a bequest for a specific amount of money, or for a percentage of your estate or other choice.

A general clause could therefore read:

"I give the sum of [$] or [%] of the residue of my estate to St Andrew's Hospital Inc of 350 South Terrace, Adelaide 5000. I declare that the receipt of the Chief Executive Officer or other authorised officer of the hospital shall be sufficient discharge to my executor who shall not be bound to see to the application of my gift."

Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
