Celebrating Our Nurses – International Nurses Day 2025
May 14, 2025
International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. It’s a time to honour the incredible contributions of nurses everywhere — and at St Andrew’s, we are proud to celebrate the outstanding individuals who make up our nursing community.
From Clinical Managers to Nurse Educators, Graduate Nurses, Assistant Directors of Nursing, to our Quality & Risk Manager and more — we are so grateful for each and every one of you. You are a tight-knit community of highly skilled, dedicated, and resourceful professionals.
You are the heart of St Andrew’s.
To mark the occasion, our clinical leadership team spent the morning walking the hospital, delivering delicious treats and heartfelt thanks to our nurses.
We were also delighted to be joined by Susy Daw, who came along on behalf of Police Credit Union (and in her role as a valued Hospital Board Member) to help us celebrate our incredible team.
Thank you to all our nurses for the care, strength and compassion you show every day — and for the positive impact you make in the lives of our patients and their families.
