Clinical education

Opportunities exist for nurses to specialise in an area of their choice. Scholarships are provided annually to cover some or all post-graduate course fees.

A range of clinical education activities are regularly available, accessible and free on site. A monthly in-service calendar provides additional professional development opportunities.

Patient safety

The St Andrew's team constantly seeks ways to improve the service offered to our patients. One example of this is the short film that simulates a Massive Transfusion Protocol activated during a critical bleed, starring our own Doctors and Nurses. The film provides the opportunity for clinical staff to learn through a realistic, hospital specific film. Click HERE to view the 11 minute film

Leadership development

For nurses wanting to expand their leadership skills as well as their clinical expertise, the HR team provide regular toolkit sessions on all aspects of managing a team as well as coordinating annual Leadership Development Programs in collaboration with UniSA.

St Andrew's offers flexible career paths to encourage nurses to become managers.
