United for Breast Cancer Care at Pink & Blue

The annual Pink & Blue Swim/Walk/Run brings together hundreds of participants - runners, walkers, swimmers and families across generations - to support breast cancer care at St Andrew’s Hospital, a recognised centre for breast care excellence.

Since 2013, this award-winning community event organised by the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club has celebrated connection, generosity and the power of people coming together.

Run entirely by passionate volunteers, the event now features a swim, walk and run, making it accessible to all - including four -legged friends. Along the way, participants share stories, reconnect with friends, and enjoy small acts of kindness, like cornflake cookies and Pink Lady apples.

Funding Care That Matters
Half of the proceeds from Pink & Blue go to the St Andrew’s Hospital Foundation, which channels these funds directly to the hospital. This support helps fund vital equipment, refurbish spaces used by the Breast Care team, and sustain the dedicated Breast Care Nurse role in the chemotherapy suite. In just a few years, Melissa Dryden in this role has supported hundreds of patients with knowledge, comfort and compassion, enhancing the hospital’s standard of care as a centre for breast care excellence.
