The South Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards publicly recognise and celebrate the significant contribution that nurses and midwives make to the healthcare outcomes of the broader South Australian community.

We are extremely proud to have had three wonderful nominees for the South Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards and two finalists, Chelsea Clark and Fiona Bolton.

Fiona, a finalist for Excellence in Practice, epitomises generosity as demonstrated by her ongoing contribution of time to attend and provide workshops around the state, the hours required to fulfil the role as President of AASTN as well as the provision of education locally to staff at St Andrew’s Hospital out of hours.

Chelsea a finalist for Excellence in Practice Early Career Nurse/Midwife, resourceful, generous, and has a professional maturity that has seen her take on mentorship of new staff and graduates. She works quickly to develop a rapport with her patients, and is highly respected by her colleagues.

St Andrew's would also like to recognise the efforts of nominee Lisa Walter. Lisa has a high level of empathy for patients, families and colleagues. She is one of the most honest and reliable staff members at St Andrew’s Hospital, an embodiment of integrity. She is easily approachable, open to discussion and suggestions.

Congratulations to all.

Winners will be announced at the South Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards Gala Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday, 12 May 2023.
