Celebrating Our Patron
March 28, 2025
We are delighted to share that our esteemed Patron, Mrs Lan Le, has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in recognition of her outstanding service to the Crown and the South Australian community.
Lan has been a passionate supporter of St Andrew’s Hospital, regularly visiting to connect with staff, volunteers, and patients. As Patron of the St Andrew’s Hospital Foundation, she plays a vital role in fostering a culture of care, generosity, and community spirit.
Her commitment to service extends far beyond St Andrew’s. Over the years, Lan has been a Vice-Regal Patron for numerous organisations, supporting causes such as Cystic Fibrosis South Australia, Palliative Care South Australia, Australian Red Cross (SA), and the National Council of Women of South Australia. She has also championed initiatives for women, families, and children, including Grandparents for Grandchildren SA, Women in Rotary SA, and the Children’s Book Council of Australia (SA Branch).
In addition to her volunteer and patronage roles, Lan dedicated nearly three decades to her career as a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant with CRS Australia, helping individuals regain independence and quality of life. Her professional excellence was recognised with a National Award for Excellence in 2000 and an Australia Day Achievement Award in 1997.
Lan’s warmth, generosity, and hands-on approach to volunteerism have touched countless lives. Her OAM is a fitting tribute to her remarkable dedication and impact.
Please join us in celebrating Lan and thanking her for all she does for St Andrew’s and the wider community.
